New Agent First Steps

Real Estate Agent First Steps:

  • FIRST, you will need to complete the KW Heritage Realty paperwork and pay your Brokerage Fee of $149

    • Processing Fee

    • Business Cards

    • Name Tag

    • Company Email

  • Every agent must join a board, regardless of which Brokerage they belong to. Agents at Keller Williams Heritage Realty must join:

  • In order to belong to a board you must pay your realtor fees. These can vary by the:

    • Board you are joining

    • When you join the Board

    Avoid delays by signing up quickly!

  • The Board will instruct you to take an MLS Compliance class in order to access and utilize the MLS. Ensure you complete this class ASAP!

  • SUPRA E-KEY is the main way you will open homes for showings in Florida. It is a bluetooth lockbox system that connects to your smartphone. Make sure you sign up for SUPRA through your Board. CLICK HERE

THINGS I NEED TO PAY FOR:

  • KW FEES - $149 / One Time

  • LOCAL REALTOR BOARD FEES - Prorated ($500-$700) / Year

  • STELLAR MLS FEES - Prorated ($500-$700) / Year

  • MONTHLY SUPRA E-KEY FEE - $17 / Month

  • This is weekly new agent orientation meeting in the office. Brittany will overview the next steps and what you should be doing.

  • IGNITE is the official Keller Williams new agent training and onboarding program. It will prepare you for your beginning in real estate. Be sure to book this class. It lasts 4 weeks and is conducted entirely via ZOOM.

  • Reach out to your Mentor for your New Agent success meeting!

What should I do as a New Agent?

Work on your Mindset!

  • Mindset is everything, get your mind ready for adversity

  • Learn to be okay with failure, rejection and lost opportunities

  • Understand that not every opportunity is real … weed these out!

Make personal connections

  • Meet people, make a connection as valued advisor

  • Cultivate your friends and family, make them your advertising team!

  • Focus on building relationships and finding business

Get your name out there

  • Create your marketing plan

  • Work on your social media message and branding

  • Think of ways to get online customers reaching out to you

Skill and knowledge

  • Practice your communication, delivery and speaking skills

  • Pick an area and become the EXPERT

  • Learn and read as much as you can about real estate

What NOT to do?

  • Don’t “get ready” to start ... You’ll never get anywhere

  • Don't wait until you know more to get started 

  • Don’t be embarrassed to reach out to friends 

  • Don’t stay home ... You are not going to meet anyone there!
